"Looking Forward"

In consideration of those not yet born, we honour all of those who came before us. We take our place in our own story of where we come from with the inclusion of the raised beadwork of the Haudenasaunee (Iroquois), transitioning into the later beaded art of the Métis. The floral design circling the heart is from the beadwork pattern of our Grandmother, Suzette (Chalifoux) Swift. This is the work of our Ancestors that brought explorers from the Great Lakes, across the prairies and through the Athabasca Pass into New Caledonia.
