"Blue Darner"

Therer is a legend about the native darner fly that has been passed down through the generations and was told to me at my grandmother's knee. It said that if one was caught gossiping, the darner fly would come along and sew up your lips. In actual fact, the dragonfly and relatives are beneficial insects, but the story had me quite terrified when walking near ponds. This original design was from the artist's watercolour collection.
