Gilded Darner (Red Cardinal Dragonfly) Undisturbed by my hovering, this beautiful ruby coloured creature spent an entire afternoon poised on our vegetable garden stake. As the day came to an end, its wings glowed in the late afternoon sun, as if created with thin sheets of gilded stained glass. This original design was from the artist's watercolour collection. Sepia Ink, watercolour, metallic ink.
