"The Small Seed"

Like a wee grain of sand or a droplet of rain, that can carve out the land, and smooth rocky terrain.
Like a tiny brown acorn, So sweet- and so small, that became a great oak, So majestic and tall.
If we too can start out, with just one thoughtful deed, it will, without doubt, be like that small seed.
This piece was painted for Goldstream Park Fundraiser for The Nature of Island Artists. The sentiment of the painting and poem is meant to encourage and honour tomorrow’s activists, planting a ‘small seed’ to act locally and protect their environment.
