METIS MANDALAS

SCHOOL AGE OR ADULT WORKSHOP

Learn about the history of mandalas,from Indigenous medicine wheel to eastern inspired sand mandalas.​ 

Topics include the history of mandalas, conception of ideas, demonstration of various mediums and the various tools used.

Techniques can include sepia ink and quill pen, wax resist, watercolour, linocut, metallic leafing, collage, glass beads and more​.

Collaborative mandala murals with childrens groups or adult focused watercolour mandalas.

The artist has completed over 28 books and a myriad of other publishing projects, Kristi will give a talk and demonstration about illustration from conception of ideas, demonstration of various mediums and the process from page layout and book dummies, to approaching publishers. ​
